The Department of Economics at the University of Mainz invites for a summer school in behavioral economics. On 27–28 and 30–31 August 2012 Jordi Brandts (Universitat Autónoma de Barcelona) and Dan Houser (George Mason University) will give a series of introductory and advanced lectures on a broad range of recent topics in behavioral, experimental, and emotional economics; on 29 August selected summer school participants will be able to present and discuss their own work in our international Research Workshop.
Please apply by sending us your CV as an email attachment to ls_schunk@uni-mainz.de until 30 April 2012. If you additionally would like to present in the Research Workshop, please also send (a draft of) your paper to the email address above.
The participation fee is 400 EUR. This covers accommodation for 5 nights, the lectures and the workshop dinner (the workshop is public). Fee waivers are available for a limited number of selected summer school participants.
For students enrolled in the Graduate School of Economics, Finance, and Management (GSEFM), the course is free and can be credited as a field course after writing a term paper. The course will then count for 4 ECTS. Term papers need to be submitted by email to Eva Berger, 6 weeks after the end of the lectures.
